Violence at the workplace is of increasing concern to many workers, particularly those working in industries with contact with the public and/or the 'service' industry. Sometimes it is due to 'clients', other times from people who are intruders. It is the employer's responsibility identify whether violence is a possible hazard and then take steps to control the risks to workers. Use the Workplace Violence Audit below to assist you to identify if there is a problem and what might be done about it. Alternatively, use the Violence Risk Assessment tool, also below. Feel free to amend these to suit your own workplace.
