Many workers are injured as a result of slips, trips and falls and these injuries can be very serious. OHS reps can take steps to reduce the risks to workers.
WorkSafe has developed a good general resource: Preventing slips, trips and falls at work This is a checklist designed to help employers meet their legal obligations to manage risks associated with slips, trips and falls.
WorkSafe (Transport & Storage) has also developed a useful Slips, Trips and Falls Checklist [pdf] designed specifically for those who work in the retail sector. It is can easily be modified, however, for use in any workplace.
