WEEKLY COVID ADMISSIONS RISE

Victorian data taken from Department of Health Weekly Report 23 February 2024.

The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 has increased a small amount this week. The 7-day average is 178, compared to 156 last week.

The 7-day average of ICU patients has also increased this week (4 to 7).

Deaths in the most recent 28-day period (11/01/2024 – 07/02/2024) declined compared to the prior 28-day period (14/12/2023 - 10/01/2024), with a current 28-day total of 129.

Australia: As of 19 February, there have been 11,817,606 cases and 24,259 COVID deaths.

World: As of 05 February, there had been 703,662,735 worldwide infections with COVID-related deaths numbering 6,985,940.
