WORKSAFE AWARDS 2027 OPEN FOR NOMINATIONS

Nominations for the WorkSafe Awards, including for HSR of the Year, have been opened and will close on 30 June 2026, with winners announced at the WorkSafe Awards ceremony on 25 February 2027.

The WorkSafe Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of our health, safety, and return to work champions – those who go above and beyond to ensure safety at work. The seven award categories are:

  • Health and Safety Representative (HSR) of the Year - this category acknowledges health and safety representatives (HSRs) who have represented their designated work group (DWG) in an outstanding manner.
  • Agriculture Safety Solution - this award recognises innovative, practical approaches that reduce risk and prevent harm on farms including for those businesses who operate at times on farms or provide services to farms.
  • Workplace Health and Safety Solution of the Year – recognising individuals and organisations that develop, implement, and/or manufacture solutions to health and safety issues or hazards in their own workplaces or for industry.
  • Excellence in Preventing and Managing Psychosocial Risk – this category recognises an impactful initiative aimed at preventing psychological injuries in the workplace through a targeted risk management intervention.
  • OHS Leadership / Achievement – acknowledging an individual, group or organisation that has achieved or influenced significant improvements to occupational health and safety within their workplace, industry or the greater Victorian community.
  • Leading Return to Work Practice – recognising the outstanding efforts or innovations if an individual or organisation to support injured workers to return to safe and sustainable work.
  • Worker Return to Work Achievement – this category recognises a worker’s achievements in returning to work following a workplace injury.
