WEEKLY COVID STATS

Victorian data taken from Department of Health Weekly Report 19 April 2024.

The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 has increased since last reporting period. The 7-day average is 116, compared to 95 last week.

The latest quantitative wastewater measures indicate recent increases in SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in Victorian wastewater in metropolitan and regional catchments. Increasing levels of SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater suggest increasing prevalence of COVID-19 infections in the community

Deaths in the most recent 28-day period (06 Mar 2024 - 02 Apr 2024) have increased compared to the prior 28-day period (07 Feb 2024 - 05 Mar 2024), with a current 28-day total of 80.

NOTE: As of April 13, 2024, the Coronavirus Tracker is no longer being updated due to the unfeasibility of providing statistically valid global totals, as the majority of countries have now stopped reporting.
