Did you know that in the last 5 years just one postcode in Victoria has contributed 10% of all fatalities and injuries in the manufacturing industry?
As part of the Health & Safety Month 2026 WorkSafe is organising a free morning session about strengthening workplace safety through effective representation and issue resolution in the manufacturing industry. WorkSafe Victoria invites all HSRs in Dandenong to come and join this session, that will help you collaboratively resolve workplace health and safety issues and improve your manufacturing safety knowledge.

Join WorkSafe for an engaging breakfast session about strengthening workplace safety through effective representation and issue resolution in the manufacturing industry. This interactive session supports Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) by building confidence and capability when resolving safety concerns in their workplace.
HSRs will get practical insights into the issue resolution process by focusing on common risks such as plant guarding and mobile plant operations and explore topics including powers of HSRs, legal obligations, consultation requirements, and issue resolution procedures.
This session will help you collaboratively resolve workplace health and safety issues and improve your manufacturing safety knowledge.
WHEN Wednesday 21 October from 9.00am to 11.30am (breakfast from 8:30am)
WHERE Atura Dandenong, 5-17 Doveton Avenue, Eumemmerring VIC 3177
* Please note: Apart from VTHCs approved section 69 Victorian HSR conference[DM1] , HSRs do not have a legislative entitlement to attend the Health and Safety Month events. We recommend working with your employer to determine whether the session will be valuable for your workplace. If you require further guidance, please contact WorkSafe’s HSR Support Officer team via email.
