COVID NUMBERS CONTINUE TO EASE

Victorian data taken from Department of Health Weekly Report 08 March 2024.

The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 has decreased this week. The 7-day average is 156, compared to 164 last week.

The 7-day average of ICU patients has decreased this week (8 to 5).

Deaths in the most recent 28-day period (24/01/2024 – 20/02/2024) have declined compared to the prior 28-day period (27/12/2023 – 23/01/2024), with a current 28-day total of 96

Australia: As of 11 March, there have been 11,830,183 cases and 24,292 COVID deaths.

World: As of 11 March, there had been 703,999,676 worldwide infections with COVID-related deaths numbering 7,004,703.
