COVID NUMBERS EASE

Victorian data taken from Department of Health Weekly Report 01 March 2024.

The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 has decreased this week. The 7-day average is 164, compared to 178 last week.

The 7-day average of ICU patients has increased this week (7 to 8).

Deaths in the most recent 28-day period (24/01/2024 – 13/02/2024) have declined compared to the prior 28-day period (03/01/2023 – 23/01/2024), with a current 28-day total of 110.

Australia: As of 04 March, there have been 11,824,150 cases and 24,289 COVID deaths.

World: As of 05 February, there had been 703,879,329 worldwide infections with COVID-related deaths numbering 7,003,629.
