CONFINED-SPACE ROBOT WINS WORKSAFE AWARD IN WA

A company that developed an autonomous robotic crawler, known as Magneto-EX, to perform inspection and maintenance tasks in confined spaces, has been recognised by Western Australia's 2022 Work Health and Safety Excellence Awards, which were presented at a Perth ceremony on Friday.

Nexxis won the prize for ‘Best solution to a work health and safety risk (199 employees or less)’ for the spider-like inspection robot, which has electromagnetic feet and can traverse vertical and complex industrial structures without a human operator.
