MARK RUFFALO IN PFAS CONTAMINATION DOCO

A new Australian documentary titled ‘Revealed: How To Poison A Planet,’ featuring Oscar-nominated actor Mark Ruffalo exposes a David and Goliath battle against major chemical companies responsible for toxic contamination over decades.

It reveals the widespread presence of PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ in everyday products, with 98% of the world's population affected.

The film focuses on the $US12.5 billion settlement by 3M Company for contaminating drinking water supplies in the US.

Investigations uncover the devastating impact of these chemicals on communities worldwide, including first nations communities here in Australia. It also presents an OHS issue for many workers, in particular, firefighters. You can read more about firefighters and PFAS here.

Journalist Carrie Fellner's work highlights the health risks associated with PFAS exposure and challenges faced in holding corporations accountable.

It’s hoped the documentary will increase awareness and spark action against the dangers of PFAS contamination.
