INDONESIA: WORKPLACE SAFE HOUSES

The IndustriALL Indonesia women's council has successfully negotiated the establishment of safe houses at five workplaces across Indonesia.

These safe houses are designed to provide a secure environment for female workers to address issues related to violence and harassment. The inaugural event for the first safe house, held at PT Evoluzione Tyre in West Java, received support from the company, ministry, local authorities, and federation leaders. In addition to offering a safe space, the safe houses also provide training on violence and harassment prevention.

The women's council plans to advocate for the creation of more safe houses throughout Indonesia.
