The guide provides information to help employers and self-employed businesses to manage:

  • common health and safety issues on construction sites
  • employer health and safety obligations under Victorian occupational health and safety (OHS) laws

the publication is not a complete guide to the law and should be read in conjunction with:

  • the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (OHS Act)
  • the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 (OHS Regulations)
  • construction compliance codes
  • relevant industry standards
