WorkSafe reminds HSRs and deputy HSRs to subscribe to their HSR newsletter where you can find information from the regulator that supports you in your role as an elected health and safety representative.

This week’s HSR News includes:
- New Year employee representation checklist for HSRs and deputy HSRs.
- Regular (usually every three years) HSR elections
- Reviews when requested of designated work groups (DWGs) to ensure that they are fit for purpose
- Approved training for elected HSRs and deputy HSRs
- The provision of necessary facilities and support to enable HSRs to perform their role
- Online APHIRM Toolkit introductory workshop. Developed by La Trobe University, this toolkit is designed to help medium to large healthcare and social assistance businesses manage the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in their workplace.
- New posters to help prevent occupational violence and aggression. Licensing on WorkSafe’s Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA) posters has expired and they can no longer be used.
- If you see these posters in your workplace, please make your employer aware. Ask them to remove them from display and replace with the new 'Don’t Cross the Line' campaign posters.
- You can print and display the new 'Don't cross the line' campaign poster in your workplaces, or you can order posters to be sent to your workplace at no cost.

- Under Victorian OHS laws, employers are required to notify WorkSafe about fatalities, serious injuries and certain health and safety incidents in a workplace. These are known as ‘notifiable incidents'.
- Employers must contact WorkSafe on 132 360 to report notifiable incidents. Visit our website for more information about reporting an incident.
- If you’re concerned that your employer hasn't notified WorkSafe of an incident, check directly with them or call WorkSafe Advisory.
