HELP US PUBLICISE VTHC OHS BASICS MONTH

Whilst readers of Safety Net are all quite OHS literate, we all know friends and family who have questions about safety in their workplaces.

To address these important issues, Victorian Trades Hall Council is launching a series of clear and concise online presentations under the banner of OHS Basics Month designed to provide an overview of essential Occupational Health and Safety concepts.

Each presentation will also be followed by an opportunity for attendees to get answers to their most pressing safety questions. Join us in gaining and sharing the knowledge needed to ensure a safer work environment for all.

OHS Basics Month sessions and where to register. All sessions start at 4pm:

  1. 25 Sept - Worker rights and Employer duties - guest presenter Renata Musolino, OHS Information and Website Organiser, VTHC (retired)
  2. 2 Oct - Giving workers a voice – guest presenter Dr Gerard Ayers, OHS&E Manager, CFMEU
  3. 8 Oct - Bullying, workload & other psych hazards – guest presenter Clayton O’Brian, Lead Organiser, ASU
  4. 16 Oct - Resolving issues before you get injured – guest presenter Meaghan Flack, OHS Organiser, AEU
