EU: TOOLS ON AI’S IMPACT IN THE WORKPLACE

The European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) Education and the Foresight unit has developed training tools for workers on AI’s impact in the workplace.  The ETUI says that AI is changing the way we live and work. It acknowledges that trade unions are still struggling to understand the impact of AI on workers and the workplace.

The series of trainings and training tools have been developed to introduce AI to workers’ representatives.

One of the tools is called ETUI board game and aims to discover the many different facets of AI: AI definitions, AI related technologies, AI applications, how to use foresight methods to improve collective bargaining at sectoral or company level, when is data from workers being processed and when are AI systems being implemented.

Games are changing the way how AI is taught. The ETUI game, which is designed to form part of different organizations’ training plans, exists in various languages: EN, DE, FR, IT, ES, RO and NL. Polish and Serbian version are in development.
