COVID NUMBERS RELATIVELY STABLE

Victorian data taken from Department of Health Weekly Report 01 December 2023.

The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 remained relatively stable this week with a daily average of 326, up from 325 last week.

The 7-day average of ICU patients declined this week (16 to 15).

Deaths in the most recent 28-day period have continued to increase, with a current 28-day total of 144.

Australia: As of 05 December, there have been 11,705,635 cases and 22,984 COVID deaths.

World: As of 05 December, there had been 698,752,005 worldwide infections with COVID-related deaths numbering 6,947,316
