COVID NUMBERS – ICU PATIENTS UP

Victorian data taken from Department of Health Weekly Report 9 February 2024.

The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 has continued to decline this week. The 7-day average is 180, compared to 196 last week.

The 7-day average of ICU patients increased this week (7 to 9).

 

Deaths in the most recent 28-day period (27/12/2023 – 23/01/2024) declined compared to the prior 28-day period (29/11/2023 - 26/12/2023), with a current 28-day total of 154.

Australia: As of 05 February, there have been 11,802,880 cases and 24,167 COVID deaths.

World: As of 05 February, there had been 703,003,781 worldwide infections with COVID-related deaths numbering 6,981,342.
