DRIVER DIES IN GARBAGE TRUCK CRUSH

The tragic incident of a garbage truck driver's death in Melbourne's CBD has been reported. The 26-year-old driver stepped out of the truck on Hosier Lane, but the vehicle rolled forward, crushing him against a post and building wall.

WorkSafe is currently investigating the incident which marks the 29th confirmed workplace fatality for 2023, compared to 31 deaths recorded at the same time last year.
