ROAD WORKER STRUCK BY PASSING TRUCK - WORKSAFE INVESTIGATING DEATH

WorkSafe is investigating the death of a traffic controller on the Western Highway between Kaniva and Nhill last Thursday evening. It is believed the man in his 50s was struck by a passing truck while packing up road signage. The man suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

 

The truck driver was not injured and remained at the scene.

The Western Highway was closed following the incident reopened on Friday morning.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam recordings of the area at around 6pm last Thursday are urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
