FARMERS WARNED OF FATIGUE RISKS

WorkSafe data highlights March and November as peak months for workplace fatalities in agriculture. Fatigue is common among farmers at these times due to long, exhausting hours of manual work.

WorkSafe is urging agricultural employers to recognise signs of fatigue and ensure breaks are taken to prevent accidents.

The It’s never you, until it is campaign promotes and encourages conversations about farm safety with the goal being to prevent accidents and reduce the number of deaths and injuries.
