NSW: Employers fined for failures related to COVID-19
NSW workplace duty holders have, to date, been issued a total of at least 330 COVID-19-related penalties worth more $1.3 million, from inspections conducted by SafeWork NSW, NSW Fair Trading and Liquor and Gaming NSW, the State Government has revealed. In a recent case, the Lord Wolseley Hotel in Ultimo was fined $5,000, plus $2,400 in prosecution costs, for "failing a COVID compliance inspection" and failing to attend court twice.
