A child was killed after a quad bike rolled on a Waikato, NZ farm. Emergency services were called to the Kaihere farm in the Hauraki District at around 4pm on Saturday 7 September.
The child was found dead. The serious crash unit conducted an investigation, and WorkSafe NZ was advised. "Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing."
According to WorkSafe, there was one confirmed fatality from a quadbike accident last year. The worst year in recent times was 2015, when there were nine deaths. Every year there are serious injuries.
