EU: WORKPLACE MENTAL HEALTH GUIDANCE

The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work has issued guidance for workplaces which focuses on supporting individuals experiencing mental health problems. Changes in working environment, hours and patterns, as well as tasks and equipment are some of the practical measures it describes to help and retain workers after an absence.

EU-OSHA’s guidance for workplaces suite of materials is complemented by a review on good workplace practices and a set of policy recommendations. Also of interest is the European Commission's comprehensive mental health approach and a web portal of best practice.
