Kate Cole is an engineer and certified occupational hygienist specialising in workplace airborne hazards. She has over 20 years' experience on major Australian infrastructure and construction projects. A former President of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists and Churchill Fellow, Kate works with governments, unions and industry on managing complex workplace health risks and often serves as an independent expert witness in legal proceedings. In recognition of her advocacy for work health and safety, Kate was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia.
