APPRENTICE AND TRAINEE FREE EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Victorian Government has introduced the Apprentice Employee Assistance Program (EAP), which provides confidential and free counselling advice to apprentices and trainees employed by Victorian businesses.

A circular diagram showing six forms of support available through the new Victorian Government’s free Apprentice and Trainee employee assistance program – employee assist, conflict assist, legal assist, nutrition and lifestyle assist, money assist, career assist.

The program provides short-term counselling and coaching across various areas, including:

  • Navigating Workplace Challenges: Assistance with difficult situations on-site, ensuring apprentices can work safely and effectively.
  • Personal Counselling: Support for personal issues that may affect work performance or overall well-being.
  • Lifestyle Guidance: Advice on making positive lifestyle changes to enhance health and productivity.
  • Financial Advice: Coaching to address financial concerns, helping apprentices manage their finances effectively.
  • Career Planning: Guidance on career development, including resume building and job-seeking strategies.

Each apprentice is matched with a consultant whose expertise aligns with their specific needs, ensuring tailored and effective support.
