ACCC RECALL ALERT – POTENTIAL DEFECTS IN FALL ARREST HARNESSES

Spelean Pty Ltd has issued a recall for specific batches of Petzl NEWTON (European version) fall arrest harnesses due to potential defects in the FAST LT buckles, which may fail during use, posing a risk of serious injury or death.

Affected models:
Petzl NEWTON (European version) – SKU C073AA01 and C073AA02
Petzl NEWTON FAST (European version) – SKU C073CA01 and C073CA02
Petzl NEWTON EASYFIT (European version) – SKU C073EA00, C073EA01, and C073EA02

These models were available for sale from 1 July 2022 to 30 April 2023.

Immediate actions required:
Cease Use Immediately: Stop using the affected harnesses to prevent potential accidents.

Return for Inspection: Visit Spelean’s recall page to arrange a return for inspection and possible replacement.
