HSRs and deputies have the right under section 72 Commonwealth Work Health Safety Act, 2011 to undertake a course of training of their choice approved by Comcare Australia. The VTHC is authorised to deliver both the initial and the refresher course under the auspices of the Australian Council of Trade Unions. The Comcare courses are for elected HSRs and deputies.
