The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 decreased in the week ending 12 March 2024. The 7-day average was 144, compared to 156 the week before.

The 7-day average of ICU patients has increased in the same week (5 to 6).

Deaths in the most recent 28-day period (07/02/2024-05/03/2024) have declined compared to the prior 28-day period 10/01/2024-06/02/2024), with a current 28-day total of 75

Australia: As of 27 March, there have been 11,842,516 cases (+2,059) and 24,356 COVID deaths.

World: As of 27 March, there had been 704,479,150 worldwide infections with COVID-related deaths numbering 7,008,092
