Getting back to work is often an important part of recovery, not something that happens once recovery is complete. WorkSafe’s new Return to Work campaign encourages everyone involved in a worker’s recovery to keep talking, keep planning and keep at it.
The campaign aims to build confidence in return to work and highlight the shared role of employers, healthcare providers, case managers, and support networks in helping injured workers achieve safe and sustainable outcomes.

Every year, thousands of Victorian workers experience a workplace injury.
Research and experience show that safe and appropriate return to work can deliver physical, psychological, and social benefits while helping people stay connected to their workplace and community.
The campaign addresses injured workers, their employers and health providers, enabling each party to understand their obligations and entitlements and their role in supporting a safe and healthy return to work.
Injured workers’ resources include information on:
· Planning your return to work
· Return to work obligations for workers
· Return to work case conferencing
· Returning with limited capacity or ability
· 10 tips to help you get back to work
You can find real stories at WorkSafe’s campaign page from Victorian workers about their recovery, support and return to work, with case studies from multiple industries and injury types. These stories, along with the guidance for workers, employers and health providers, can help your to be sure that your workplace is prepared to support injured workers to return to their best as soon as possible.
