400K FINE FOR FATAL FALL

Seascape Constructions, a residential construction company, failed to install fall protection measures at a construction site for two-story residential dwelling in Kalkallo, resulting in the death of a sub-contractor after they fell from an unprotected edge.

In Court determined the offense was very serious, with high moral culpability on the part of the offender. However, seascape showed remorse by pleading guilty and apologizing for their conduct. As a result, they were convicted and sentenced to pay a fine of $420,000.
