IT'S FOR EVERY BODY - PAID REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH LEAVE - CAMPAIGN BARGAINING KIT AND DELEGATES GUIDE NOW AVAILABLE

Victorian Trades Hall Council launched the It's For Every Body campaign to win paid reproductive health leave and flexibility entitlements at every workplace. The purpose of paid leave and flexibility is to support workers to manage and treat reproductive health issues.

Reproductive health leave recognises:

  • Every worker, no matter their age, sex or gender will experience a reproductive health issue at some point in the working lives
  • Reproductive health issues can take a serious physical and mental toll on workers making work harder
  • Access to improved entitlements will help to address stigma associated with reproductive health issues like menopause, endometriosis and fertility issues
  • These rights will support workers to be safer and healthier at work, and create more inclusive workplaces

The Campaign Bargaining Kit will help union members to Understand Reproductive Health as a Workplace Issue and to bargain and campaign for it at work. It includes what is covered by the proposed clause, information and statistics, why it's union business, worker and economic benefits, personal stories and case studies, the role of union delegates, conversation starters and tips for managing resistance. It also includes a recommended template enterprise agreement clause. The Campaign Kit is accompanied by a compact Delegates Guide.
