Daily data is no longer being published on the Victorian coronavirus site, with the Department of Heath's social media team stating weekly reporting will 'help reduce fluctuations in data.'
The site now only reports data as a weekly average, on a Friday. We'll continue to share the data that's available, for as long as it's published.
From 6 January - 12 January, Victoria recorded:
7908 total cases for the past week (-35.5%)
21 COVID deaths on average each day over the past week
473 cases in hospital (7 day rolling average) with 18 in ICU (7 day rolling average)
Cumulatively this equals:
6,638 Victorian COVID deaths
2,840,998 cases recovered

Australia: As of the 17 January, there have been 11,247,412 COVID cases in Australia and 17,712 COVID deaths
World: As of the 17 January there had been 671,783,207 worldwide infections. The number of official COVID-related deaths is now 6,732,860 (Source: Worldometer).
VACCINATION UPDATE
94.6% of all eligible Victorians (16 years+), as of 14 January, have received their second dose, 95.7% their first dose, the third dose the figure is 70.4% with the fourth dose figure at 25%.
The figure for all eligible Australians (16 years+), for the same date is: first dose 97.5%, second dose 96.1%, the third dose 69.5% and the fourth dose 26.2%.
