Stress
Stress at work can lead to illness and injury. Expecting workers to somehow “cope” with stress is no answer. The answer lies in identifying what are the workplace factors contributing to stress (stressors) and then working to remove or reduce them. You will often hear employers saying, “Stress is a fact of life, and sometimes it’s good for you.” Don’t be fooled, stress is not good for workers, and many workplace stressors can be controlled. If it can’t be eliminated altogether, stress at the workplace can be greatly reduced.
